Forged. You can see the forged edge left at the curve on the rear and inside the trigger area.

Thugh I'm no expert on early PWA stuff, by it's appearance (smooth finish) and stamped markings, I'm 90+% sure it's forged.
BTW, since it's a pre A2 style, I envy you the acquisition. Us early model type builders love those things
