i was taking apart my lower from upper and this fell out where does it go

its the selector detent just not sure where it goes

cant see the pic, but if it is in fact a selector detent, you need to take your grip off, put the detent in the hole, pointed end towards the selector, and the spring goes behind it, use the grip to compress the spring into the hole and screw the grip back in.

Are you sure it is the selector detent? I cannot see your pic, but the with selector and the grip installed, there should be no why for the selector detent to fall out. Can you remove the selector its self?
