| I just got my AR together this week and started looking at more accesories. Does the free float rail really make a difference? And what are some good ones? I have M4 short handgaurds, I would like to get a light as well, but fear thier is no room for it and my hands. How comfortable are vertical grips? Does everyone like them. And can you still have same control? |

Free float helps when you have optics mounted on your rail system or a vertical grip. Scott Samson makes a nice free float system that's easy to install. Samson Site There are many other fine brands like Larue, DD, KAC, SIR, YHM |
FF rails improve accuracy and are a good choice if your going to hang gear off them. If you can remove your own barrel, look at the one piece units (LaRue Tactical, DD). If you cannot do that, then look at the TROY MRF-C (www.troyind.com). VG's give you excellent control of your weapon, but would suggest you try one out before you buy one (not for everyone). There is enough room on a 7.0 rail (carbine size) for a light and a laser. C4 www.gandrtactical.com LaRue Tactical 7.0 FF rail, Tango Down VG, SureFirem M962C, Laser Devices OTAL
