When mounted to a flattop do you see the front sight post?

Just got home man... Im not sure exactly what you mean, but I will try to answer everything I might think you mean.

If you mean can you see the front sight through the sight channel when the ACOGs mounted to the carry flat top, then the answer is no.

If you mean can you see the front sight post in the glass when you are looking through the ACOG, then the answer is... it depends. Low magnification Comp ACOGs will have it show more than full size ACOGs. You can see them in full size ACOGs, but barely. The only time you see it is if you look for it. Otherwise, you'd never even notice it.

TA11 mounted on ARMS #19 direct to upper receiver. The 3.5x ACOG reticle is in the same plane as iron sights and this rifle has the standard fixed front sight post.

It is a bad picture of the reticle but it does show you what to expect with regards to the sight post.
