I seen alot of pic's of  A3 flattops with fixed front sights, and have a scope mounted on them. Does the front sight get in the way?

from my experience, the scope just blurs the sight post out to the point it's barely even visible...weird, but true!  Mounting is most important--if the scope is set too low, you'll get the blur in the center and that's obviously where you want to focus.  If the scope is mounted at the proper height, the blurry area is well below the center and you're good to go.  Personally, I really don't see the need to scope an AR15 unless using it for prarie dogs/benchrest.  I prefer my Eotech and can hit with it well beyond 200 yds.  I only scope my long range rifles.
