Hi,

I am new hereh.gif. I just bought my first gun. Of course it's an AR15.
I am thinking of buying an eotech 552. My AR is a RRA Entry Tactical. I am wondering... Will the eotech just mount on top of the "tactical carry handle"? Also what is involved in mounting and 'zeroing' it? Last... Who has the best price around for this thinghanks,

i would try and get the rifle without the "tactical" carry handle.

save some money
with the tactical carry handle the only optic it was designed for is the aimpoint and with the use of the aimpoint rail grabber mount it will co-witness.

if you mount the eotech to the carry handle you will no longer have use of the irons since the buttons will be in the way so you have a heavy and tall mount for your eotech.

if you purchase the rifle without it you could save around $100 so you could use that towards a nice buis to mount behind your eotech which will mount to the upper reciever.

less overall weight and the option to use your irons without having to remove the eotech.
but of course this is just my 0.02

Well I typed this this morning and forgot to hit submit before heading to work. Eklik covered some of it already, but anyway:

Having never actually used the RRA tactical carry handle personally, from the photo it looks like you'd have no trouble actually mounting the EOtech on it and it would be usable (albiet a bit high above the bore). Unfortunately, it looks like the base of the EOtech will totally obstruct your iron sights. I'd reccomend either:

A. Remove the tactical carry handle and just mount the EOtech directly on the upper and get a flip-up BUIS.

B. Sell the tactical carry handle and get the RRA dominator. This will put the irons in the lower 1/3 and will make switching to irons even faster than a flip-up.

C. Sell the tactical carry handle and get the LaRue Eotech mount and a BUIS. This will afford the most flexibility, but is more expensive than the above two options.

+1 for the above comments

As for who has the best price, start by looking on the EE or in Industry.

BTW what's with the blue font?

Welcome and enjoy your new rifle.
