i just purchased a UTG Foregrip to go on a surefire m73 picatanny rail. the rail seems to wide to fit into the slot for the picatanny mount on the foregrip. i can slide the grip on to the bottom of the surefire rail at the edge near the front site post but then the rail gets wider and will not fit the foregrip. any ideas on what im doing wrong? it says on the foregrip box "mounts on a picatanny rail"  TIA

update:small minor modifications made. thanks.

my guess: the M73 is w/in spec; the UTG chicom VFG is not

dont opt for chicom products, just my .02cents

Just pound the sucker on, it's polymer, it'll get there.

Side note, I like those cheapo UTG grips better than my $60 tango-down.  Go figure.

I wouldn't opt for chicom products if the US product wasn't about $35-40 overpriced.

If the rail really gets wider, then the rail is out of spec. A quick fix would be to use a small file and open up the UTG grip a little. Be careful, go slow, try to see where exactly it gets tight. UTG has a 1 year (IIRC) warrenty, so you may think about that, if you try to modify it, they may not take it back.
