Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - chrome chamber means chrome lined barrel?

I cannot find any markings in my AR's barrel so I am not sure if its barrel is chrome lined.  Its an old model thin barrel.

The chamber however is chrome colored.  Does this indicate the barrel is chrome lined?

Nope.  Many barrel makers produce barrels with a chrome chamber, but the bore is not chrome lined.  Who made your barrel?

Look at the muzzle end of the barrel, If it is chrome lined you will see the chrome flashing onto the crown, Removing the flash supressor makes it easier to see the chrome.
