I can tell you that Wolf .45 ACP is filthy stuff, however, it does go BANG. The downside of the ammo is that you will have to clean frequently. That said, I do use Wolf .45ACP in my Kimber.

If it was me I would go with some of the UMC, PMC or Fiocchi 230 gr ball. It isn't the cheapest but I have had great luck with it, it's accurate and it isn't terribly dirty. You might try Wal-Mart or an area gunshop and avoid the shipping and handling costs. -Charging Handle |

I shoot a LOT of Wolfe and have no complaints. Pay from $120 to $130 /k for it.

Cheapest 45 you can get that functions 100%. There is better stuff but who wants to pay $180+? My personal best on Wolf pricing was $95 per K (but I had to get 20k, split 7 ways). The PMP stuff was good too at $135 but it seems to have dried up at this price. |

Since you're out west, your best bet is J&G Sales. They have Wolf .45 @ $120/k. Note that if you order over 200lbs or 100,000 rounds, you qualify for discounted shipping. One K of .45 is about 50lbs.
