Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - changing parts

I recently purchased a Bushmaster AR-15 with a 20" barrell.  I am interested in getting a smaller barrell for this weapon whould all I need to do is purchase a smaller barrell say like a 16"  would that fit on my weapon or would i have to make any other changes.  Also I have a fixed stock and am interested in getting a colapasable is there any changes I have to  make there ??

teh new stock should come with everything you need to change it out including bufferspring/slash tube.

The barrel you'll have a shorter gas tube probably.
