hello, looking to see if anybody can tell me ,my dad is building  a aero precision .308 rifle length 20" and i am wondering if he can use a stock
i have left over  from a rockriver lar-15 a2 .223 .any thoughts would be appreciated .

If it is in the AR platform I don't see any reason why he cannot, because of the higher caliber I would go with something a little more  sturdier by magpul,  I would suggest a
ACS™ CARBINE STOCK COMMERCIAL-SPEC by magpul. Hope that helps.

The left over is a regular A2 stock, right?  Should be fine.

The stock and tube can be used, but the buffer and spring need to be changed.

The info you are looking for is right at the end of the first list. The A2 stock is sturdy enough, so you and your dad can use the A2 stock and not worry too much. Build it and enjoy.
