whats the best flip up/back-up rear sights for long range shooting? I have been using A.R.M.S. no. 40 flip up sights but am having inconsistent sight picture when using small aperture because the "horizon line" notch tends to bother me. How about sights by GG&G?

If I had to shoot long range with a flip up iron, I'd likely go with the KAC 600m.

The KAC 600 is the only folding BUIS with any adjustment for elevation.

I use the KAC 600M BUIS on my Adco Mk12 MOD1. A great LR flip-up sight. Works like a charm! The graduations between 200M and 600M are precise and repeatable. Works kinda like one of those old micrometer tang sights. Even considering its high price I'd still buy it again.

I don't know who makes it but I have one that was issued on an M-4 and it has adjustments out to 600M. Its not the same as the Knight. I have seen them in a gunshop in TN for around $100. Definitely the best deal I have seen. I don't know if this really helps or not. I am going to quit rambling now.

Not true.

Both the Wilson and the Military developed sight also offer elevation adjustments.

However the KAC is the best of the bunch.
