Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - any real difference in FF rails?

Is there really any real difference between the various manufacturers of FF rails?
Daniel Defense, KAC, Larue, ARMS, YHM, etc.?

Some of these manufacturers are making different types (like Daniel Defense's various rails with openings for standard A2 front sights) but when comparing normal FF rails, I see no real difference.

your opinions and input are appreciated.

Quality, weight, shape, and attachment methods are only a few of the differences.  Have you read the Rail FAQs in the other section?  It may be worth your time as it has a lot of info about many different rails and companies.

I just today installed a Daniel Defense 7.0 on my Colt. It makes all the difference in the world in feel.(shape and size) Excellent  product!
