okay,

 Can you buy a postban mag(ex, with, say, 1998 date stamped on it), take it apart, and use the postban MAG BODY to replace another PREban body? do you keep preban body for proof? do you save or toss the inner parts, etc, etc???...

Legally, no, so you can stop right there.

There are some new, teflon-finished replacement bodies for sale in the EE, and they're unmarked.
