I was looking around on the net and stumbled across this page. It is mostly in German but has some very interesting stuff on it. Alot of info on various calibers.

Those guys aren't messing around!
I wish we could get those projectiles here.
Would love to be able to read that, but just the pics are purty.

The "Gatter Geschoss" - a "Gatter" is a fenced game area, "Geschoss" means projectile.  They had to assure no overpenetration as some of these fenced "hunts" are inside populated areas - imagine culling in Central Park...

I tried them for other purposes, which did not work ideally - the bullets are subcaliber with the exception of the small driving bands (very limited barrel contact).  This means that in short necked cases they will not work as intended.  These bullet were designed specifically for the 300 Whisper.  Look at the row of bullets on the right...

You can get similar bullets from Lehigh in Pennsylvania - link to Lehigh subsonic bullets

Or check out Outlaw State - 225 gr subsonic expanding 30 cal

I've tried the Outlaw State Bullets 225grain and it shoots ok but I can't get it to reliably cycle my AR.  It has enough gas (it will lock open on an empty mag) at subsonic velocities but the blunt nose is giving me fits during feeding.  I tried the mag modification to get the round to nose up but so far without success.  Have you had any luck getting these to cycle?  I really don't want to mess with my barrel extension since the gun runs flawlessly with 240 SMK's and 208 A-Max's.
