I can think of 6 dead people that probably thought the same thing at one point. They were out hunting, who ever really thinks they will get into a gun fight out hunting deer? I won't hound ya about it. I just think everyone should take at least one tactical rifle class. It's an eye opener for sure as "shooting" and gunfighting are two different animals. |

Arms or larue mount for your scope, so you don't have to use thosae thumbscrews.

Black Rifle Disease will set in sooner then you think...then you will never have enough ARs....trust me |
|
|
Save up a little more money get a second one maybe the ARCOM special edition
|
|
so i think i'm gonna go ahead and buy an Armalite 1 piece scope mount. |
|
|
You will simply have to build another AR or three. Do you have an M16A-1 clone yet? M4Gery? |

Spend $24 on a AR15.com Membership and make it $426 to spend on the AR.
Or even better yet....Spend $24 on a AR15.com Membership and buy yourself an AK Dont make any excuses everyone should own at least one AK |

Well, since your asking, I suggest a training course. If you do not have the pennies now, save a little more and then take the course. If you do not think you will be going tactical, well then you do not really need anything else on that rifle, except irons. I took a tac rifle course this year with a SWAT officer and 2 Marines that had Iraq experince, plus a few other classmates. All three of these experienced shooters said the class was some of the best practical training they had ever recieved. But hey, buy some more bling for that rifle.

Hmmm...
I think some of these have been mentioned. Magpul stock: www.bizplaces.com/magpul/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=9948 Larue FF handguard: www.laruetactical.com/marketplace/servlet/Marketplaces?webEvent(ViewProductGridPage,folderClick)&folderID=6411&scrollTop=51 Larue SPR scope mount...from what I hear about these you will thank yourself after buying it. I think I'd cry if my scope was that close to me. Check it outwww.laruetactical.com/marketplace/servlet/Marketplaces?webEvent(ProductDetailAddPage,loadProduct)&productID=1851&scrollTop=456 Magpul trigger guard www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=7&f=25&t=241992 (buy this just cause its rather cheap/looks awesome/nice if you shoot in the winter like me.) And if you buy it buy it from the dealer in that link I gave ya...killer deal and killer service. And no I have no affiliation with that dealer other than being a satisfied customer. |

You can find good courses for a good price, I've never paid more then $150 for the class cost for the three classes I've taken. A railed gas block to put a front sight on and a rear BUIS and yer good to go. Check the tactics and training forum there is a list of trainers by state. Ya never know what you might find. If ya want to trick out the gun, I'm a fan of YHM stuff as far as railed forends go. It's cheaper cost wise but not quality wise. They are solid set ups. |

hmmmm....
458 SOCOM is nice.... Rail it dude.....Knights RAS or anything MilSpec. Gives it that bad ass look. David |
|
Just good to have some extras, feed lips bend, ya might drop one and step on it, all sorts of things can happen to mags. They are the weakest link in any mag fed gun. |

Dumb question why is it illegal for you to buy a pistol? Under 21? For $450 Eotech 512 YHM midlength FF rail ( it will cover your gas block) Later $$$ YHM front and rear flip up sights VFG Collapseable M4 type stock |

Sure you can. If ya really want to. Pick a class in the summer or find one that falls on one of your breaks from school. It's not that difficult. You just have to do the homework to find something that will work for you. There are at least two companys in NC that offer carbine classes, Blackwater, which is expensive and Shamrock Training, I don't know what thier prices are like. But they do offer both one and two day courses. No biggie if you don't want to thats yer decision. Some of us are just giving alternate ways to spend that cash and it be gun related. But I'll tell ya training classes are like crack, one hit and you want more But it's a good thing, unlike crack. |

Take a class. Then you'll have a much better idea of what you really want in terms of "more cowbell."
