Hey, all. I'm building my first AR. It's a DPMS .308. I have every part I need to make it go bang, except a gas system.
Simple enough. Does the .308 require it's own gas system, or can it use one from a standard AR15?

If you are asking about the gas tube then yes it uses the same gas tube.

The DPMS barrels use either the carbine length or rifle length tubes.

There is one that uses the mid-length gas tube and that is the 308 SASS barrel.
