i found deal on an Eotech model 520 which according to their website is for archery. http://www.eotech-inc.com/archery/whatframe.html I looked at the specs between the 520 and the and the 510 and they dont seem to be much different.  Will the 520 be alright for my AR?

If it's designed for archery, it probably can't handle the recoil of a firearm.

I doubt it would handle the recoil from a firearm, let alone an AR, also.  I'd stick with the 510 or 550 series.

My thoughts are that the only difference between the two models would be the  reticles.

IF this is the case is it just the different reticle that you're interested in?

I would call Eotech and see if there is a difference in the manufacturing process for the two models.

If there is I would ask them if you can get the archery reticle installed on a "gun" model rather than an "archery" model.

Personally I hardly think that the manufacturing process would be any different.

so who has the best deals on the Eotechs right now?  Im looking for the 511 or 512.  Also will a 512 and an ARMS #40 both fit on a flat top with the taller M4 handguards, or will I have to get the 511?  Thanks

He's got all models in stock usually, and knows the product well.
