to have a sighting system thus:
Head mounted monocular optic/screen with a positioning retina reader to display a dot in the field of vision, (i.e., in the center of your FOV.)
Looks where you do. Options for extending the FOV.
Weapon has a positioning transponder that will superimpose a dot on the display when the weapon is pointed in the FOV, indicating the weapon POA.
Make the dots contrasting colors. Lay one dot over the other, even in an unorthodox position, and together the two dots change to a third color.
Make the dots adjustable for MOA. Variable zoom capabilities in the display?
Maybe a little audio cue in the headphones to accompany the third color.
Put the dots on the target, in case you forgot.
Sci fi? Too much holiday cheer? burp.
OMFG, I had this exact same idea pop in my head a couple weeks ago (minus the 3 color overlay)...I think that would just be super awesome coolness beyond cool.
aw man you edited, you made this one redundant.
ah well, post count +1
It would not surprise me if some visual medium may already have the utilized the concept.
I am sure some geek will fill me in.
