Troy and HK make their low profile Micro Sights. Not sure what height they need to be but that is an option. Also the picatinny sights off a CZ scorpion may work as well.

Those holes in the Aero mount are to cut weight, not allow sight usage. If this is on an AR, even if you found sights that low you would be really straining to get your eye down that low to line them up.

On a rifle, yes.
On an AR/AK pistol or AK rifle, the OP may be on to something

is the scope going to interfere with line of sight when mounted? i'd do some math first before ordering..........

You won't be able to use them, they'll be way too low to get your eyes aligned. Standard AR-15 sights are approximately 1.5" to 1.6" above the rail. They need to be that high because of the straight line design stock.
