Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Which rings?

I have one spr type with the RRA high scope mount. I'd like to mount another scope on a different rifle with maybe just rings. What is the recommeded setup that will be high enough for BUIS? I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on this. I can get Leupold rings and bases and mount a scope on a Rem 700 for about $40. I'm not sure why it should cost $150-200 to mount it on an AR but that's what I'm seeing.
