I have a A2 upper with the following markings on the barrel; "DPMS CAL. 223 1-9" I have heard that some manufactures say .223 but their chambers are actually 5.56. Is this true, and what chambers does DPMS use?

According to Troy's chart, (which is tacked to the top of "AR Discussion" forum):
