Well, Fellas, the time is JUST about here. I'll be ordering a 20" Standard kit in the next week or 2. So, I'm wondering what you guys think I should get. I've narrowed it down to Model 1 - Good price and Chrome barrel, I have heard they use "Soft" parts though. J & T distributing - Good price, and Chrome-moly Adco/RRA - A little bit more $, and chrome-moly I'll be getting the pre-ban, and I know some people will tell me to wait until sept. But thats THREE months away. I want it now!!! houghtsThanks. Curt |

Go chrome or go home. I know Troy will agree. RRA and Model 1 seem to shine in this area. Model 1 offers most everything chromed or unchromed, they seem to have a good selection. RRA still has some chrome barrels as well. I can't vouch for quality but customer satisfaction between the 3 kit providers seems to be the same. RRA seems to be above them in this category, being a little more proffessional and all. Oh, and why isn't M&A on your list? |

My first AR-15 was a Model 1 Sales kit. I love it!!!!! I don't know about the "soft" parts issue, the lower receiver parts and the upper receiver and barrel all are top knotch and you can't beat the price. Buy a Model 1 kit and put it on a Stag Arms stripped lower receiver!!! GREAT QUALITY! |
