Looking at the specifications of each scope, they are almost identicle, and almost the same price.

Anyone know what the difference is besides the fact that wally-world sells the rifleman and not the VX-1?

I was wondering the same thing. That is in my price range, atleast until I'm done with college. I am looking for something to go on my first AR as soon as it gets shipped from ADCO.
