I finally got my new Bushmaster.  The patrolman’s Carbine.  A very fine piece indeed.  I was going to buy a soft AR15 rifle case, but I really like the hard case it comes in.  However the one my Bushy is shipped in is way to big and not well constructed.  I found that all the Velcro on the soft cases make to much noise.  I like the hard case stability and handle.  Any one have a good brand and model for me to consider for a hard case purchase?  Or am I way out in left field and should get a soft case?

Pelican model 1700
www.pelican.com

Tough case with wheels for travel.
You cut the foam to fit rifle and accessories.  Very professional looking.
If you change you configuration later, Pelican sells replacement foam.

I use a Winchester Break Down Shotgun Hard Case for my Colt M16/M4-A3 with Perm. Attached Phantom.  I don't think a 16" w/FH will fit  Max is 31-3/8"

I don't know how to make the link hot...., you'll have to Cut-N-paste

+1 pelican, in that size they will float with over 100 lbs in them IIRC.

I purchased the three gun Safari Case in Diamond Plate. It comes with wheels mounted into the case itself. The guns are seperated by foam rubber inserts so they cannot touch. It's a little more expensive than a "Pelican Case", but it's all metal with no plastic.  Bill T.

+1 for the pelican

kind of pricey, but water/sand proof and will last longer than what you put inside them
