So the 20" barrel length includes the threaded area? I have never actually measured it, I just assumed the post ban barrel were made from regular barrels by cutting off the threads and recrowning. http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=1530 60bucks and you got a nice threaded barrel..Saves money then buying a new one if its running perfectly fine. I had my Banned 20" barrel threaded and it didnt seem to have any effect on its shooting ability from what i seen. |

This was a "neutered" ban-era Colt 20" HBAR with no threads/muzzle device...
 ... and now it is 18" threaded goodness.  |

This is a like new condition post ban Bushmaster that I recently picked up at my favorite local pawn shop for $550 OTD. I didn't like the look of the barrel without the FH either so I brought it to a retired gunsmith buddy of mine and he threaded it for free. I'm not crazy about the camo stocks but they are starting to grow on me a little.

I have a barrel at the smith right now being cut down to 18 inches and threaded. Piece of cake for a good smith

Once you get the barrel threaded, you will need to build an new AR on to it.

If it bothers you that much I'd send it to ADCO for a threading and A2 flash hider. If you want a BL, get this: F-marked FSB w/ BL
