I know it sounds stupid, but have to order sight unseen. The case I'm interested in is 35" outside length, my rifle is 34 1/2" total. Would it fit? The next size up they offer is 40". Wanted to keep it close so rifle wouldn't slide too much.

Here is case I'm thinking of:

I don't know about the Bulldog 35" case but I use a 36" Eagle case for a 34 1/2" carbine. It's a nice fit.

Ace Case also has a 37" Assault Case (along with a 35" case) if you wanted to be sure.

This is a Galati rifle case. 37 inches of very padded protection for your carbine. With 4 mag pockets and a large accessory pouch and your carbine, it will float. gunsnstuff.net has them for $44.50-Or wiskur.com has them for around $50.

Anyone have a pic of the Galati case in the open position? Is the zipper on top/handle side or the bottom?

Thx,
HS

I have 1 Galati and 4 Eagle cases. I'd be happy to sell the Galati so I could replace it with another Eagle. Sorry to say it's not the length you're looking for.
Anyway, The Galati and Eagle don't open like a book enabling you to lay them flat. You have to slide your rifle into them. In the Galati pic above the zipper starts at the top left corner, then runs down around the bottom left corner and ends about 3/4 the way across the bottom. Hope that helps. --RR
