Hey everyone.  I was lookin' around and found this in terms of a lower receiver, and the search turns up nothing.

RDIAS/RLL compatible

What does that mean?

compatible with Registered Drop In Auto Sear or Registered Lightning Links

basically you can use a $10k+ device to legally make your AR full auto.

RDIAS = Registered Drop-in Auto Sear

RLL = Registered Lightning Link

Two quick and "cheap" ways to convert a semi AR into a select fire for the RDIAS or full auto only for the RLL.

So, is this thicker construction on the receiver, does it add any benefit that way?

No, it is actually the opposite in that there is more machining done to the rear area of the receiver to fit the RDIAS.  If you're not going to install the full-auto parts then this area doesn't need to be milled out at all, which saves machining time (and therefore money).

If you're not licensed to build post-86 machine guns or own a legal conversion device, it makes little difference as they all function the same in a semi-auto configuration.

"Search" not necessary in this case as the acronyms list just happens to be tacked to the top of this very forum......

There's good stuff up there and you are missing out by not atleast reviewing them, ya might just learn something.
