I slapped in a few test mags on my Ameetec lower and noticed wear marks on the body, they're just lines that trace the part that clips onto the mag catch.

Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to reduce the amount of wear marks?

Sorry, they usually show marks after the first insert into the magwell.  If not the first time, then very soon after.  I guess you could depress the magazine release button and slowly insert your mag, but that is not a very good way to do it.  They are just magazines anyway, they're not supposed to look new forever.

Sorry to be the one to tell you.

You also typically can't see the marks when they are inserted into the rifle anyway.

Normal and no, unless you don't shoot with it.

Yes!  Leave them in the bag, Sissy.

Use someone else's magazines.
