Which rings; low, medium, high, x-high, or ultra high would I need to mount a scope on my flat-top to approximate the hieght of my peeps on the A-3 carry handle?

I think you need the ultra-high ones.  Look at midwayusa.com because I think they sell specific Warne rings for the AR-15.
