Yep
use the exact same set up with an M1 long range. Works good, lasts long time. The low rings put the scope just right for a REALLY good cheek weld "for me." Which length of float tube is that? Looks like the medium. Also what is the barrel length are you running? Also who made the barrel?

IPSC_GUY

P.S. what do you use the top rail on the forward ring for?

Hey, THAT is beautiful! I had envisioned a similar setup, but I was planning on the ARMS#19 QD base and the ARMS#22 rings-TRR-TRC. I'm guessing your setup allows more freedom to move the scope forward or backward in the mount?

Oh, and can you still see the Docter Optic over those taller adjustment turrets? I notice that they are a tad taller than, say, the Mark4 M3.

But your setup there has already been subtly pointed out to family members for the upcoming holiday season :)

Thanks, Im trying to decide between this set up and #22QD rings on a Swan Sleeve.  Any opinions on which is the more durable set up would be appreciated.  It appears as if the #35 set up has more parts to come loose?

Leupol 3.5x10 M3 on flattop, "20 freefloat barrel.  Thanks for the reply.  Which of the two is 'more' durable?

may be a stupid question but what are you planning to mount over the scope?  I am kinda new to this but that does look like another rail for mounting more sight options of some type above the scope right?

The track rings work in the #39 to hold an Aimpoint, something like the Trij. dedicated reflex mt., for those who like dedicated mtg. We also sometimes use the #35 track mtg. rings down the center of the SIR system for special set ups, such as where seaweed sometimes get's thick.

-Would you properly asemble the #35 set up (lap, locktite etc)prior to shipping?

-Reference the #22 rings question it would go on top of a scout length fire rail.  Given this how do they compare in strength?

Thanks

I see no need to lap this set up for two basic reasons. It is a unique modular track set up and if you lap it into one position then the minute you utilize the modular ability by re arranging the ring position, you have just waisted time and money. The track mounting has a kind of built in automatic lap ability already there. Secondly the Ring caps, as wes said, are as tough as wood pecker lips, plus *I have never seen a set of any well made rings that needed a lap job, and the ARMS rings are one of the best out there. Not to be confused with Lap dancing, which is always good

Does the #35 base and med rings come with  detailed nstructions?  How hard is it to/how do you "properly" assemble this settup without ruining my scope?  This settup is the way Im leaning presently.

Hey Wes, if you do a little test, you will see that the fire rails are not consistent mil std. 1913 width, they tend to be undersize and worse yet, they are often wider at one end of the dovetail than the other, tappered. Lapping is a lot of work and rail dimensions need to be true all the time espec. since you might be getting a lot of them to do. Just a heads up to point this out since someone else beside my own experience, mentioned the throw levers don't work right on the rail you just mentioned, and the #35 has the same levers.

I like throw levers for all the reasons you give. I don't like rails that are out of the mil spec as the throw levers don't work properly on out of spec dovetails. Has nothing to do with like or dislike other than what I pointed out, to include the RRA being out of spec., which also proved to be the case.. and since corrected, I'm told. To put a lapped system on a less than accurate rail is my concern, and I have experienced what I refer to with more than one fire rail, thats all.
