| Hi I'm looking for a sling as I'm new to this area I was wondering if I have this info correct, ok the VTAC will sinch up tight against the body? Will the VTAC padded sinch up the same amount as the unpadded? Will either of these slings work on an AR pistol as well as the rifle if I put the HK hooks on and ASAP plates for 2 point and a 1 point on both? I cant find a local dealer or know of one but I'm 5' 11" 185 wear between L and XL shirt and guess the VTAC is the one for me to get, if I knew for sure the VCAS would work I'd be all over it but from reading about the VCAS it sinches up a little loose and gathering from some of the people with them I'm wondering if it would be to loose for me? Thanks All |

Well I guess if I would be to be able to 1 point them together off of the receiver plate, and then be able to 2 point it off the receiver end plate to the rear of the forearm while on a collapsed stock. I know that's not a lot of room (I'm going extreme minimum for pistol's sake) but if it tighten to the body on those positions I should be good.
DSand; Is your sling a padded or non-padded? Do you wish you went another route? Thank you |
| I have the padded version. I used a non padded style sling before and it seemed to twist around when I used it when wearing my vest. I think the padding helps keep it straight and flat against the vest when it rides over the PALS webbing and shoulder buckles on my vest. |
| Alright I think I'm going with the padded VATC, now I've search and cant seem to find it but didn't I read that the VTAC is a 1" sling? The push button sling mounts I found are 1 1/4" which is what the VCAS is, right? Please point me to some 1" mounts if correct or is everybody running 1 1/4" PB's on the VTAC? |
