I have a 16" carbine with the early version plastic collapsible stock. I know how to attach the sling and use it for carry, but I'm used to using a loop sling in Garand and WWII bolt action matches when shooting. I'm not sure how to use a hasty sling - can anyone offer any insight as to how to get a good steady grip with it? Also, where can I get a loop sling for an AR? Thanks. |

Loosen that God awful "non speedy adjustable" sling. Hold the rifle in your right hand, if right handed. Put your left arm through the sling, between the rifle and sling. The sling will be against your tricepts(sp). In a clockwise direction, pass your left hand under the sling completing a 360 degree circle and grab the forarm of the rifle. You can use the older canvas or nylon adjustable sling of yester year, but you have to put the butt clip on the front sling swivel. Good luck. |
