No. Use a 30-round floorplate, which works better than the 20-round floorplate anyway.

To use a 30 round floorplate, do you have to remove the flat spring that's riveted in there? If so, do you break it off, or drill out the rivets and remove it completely?
Also, is it better to leave the alloy followers in and just replace the coil spring, or replace the followers also? Thanks, Dave |

The steel spring does not have to be removed, but you can remove it if you prefer, and that will keep rust from forming in the mag body.
Keep the alloy follower unless it is damaged to the point that it causes malfunctions. -Troy |
