I bought a new S&W M&P 15T about a month and a half ago. I bought a RRA NM 2 stage trigger for it and installed it immediately. I've fired about 1,200 rounds through it without any function problems. The only problem it seems to have is that after extended fire, the trigger pin will end up protruding out the left side of the receiver about 3/8". I can push it back in with my fingernail. I'm using the pins that came with the RRA trigger set and the trigger is functioning fine. Any ideas on how I should correct this? Thanks for your help. Bob |

First question is: The trigger pin, or the hammer pin walking out? The hammer spring is supposed to have it's legs on top of the trigger pin, and this is normally adequate to prevent the evacuation. If not, you might try the originals and see if there is a small notch for the spring to catch, and that would hold the pin. Sometimes during reassembly the pin is put in backwards and the notch falls out of place. Spring leg no catchy... Big Strong American GI you can push it in the bushy, Oh so sorry, you did say it was a S&W.... Good luck |

Check for two things, 1 as posted above, make sure you did not install hammer spring under the trigger pin. Hammer spring goes on top. 2 check to make sure new trigger pin is not defective. It should have two grooves on it, one in the middle and one near the end. (Note: trigger and hammer pins the same). I am not sure about "backwards" because the pins will be retained either direction. |

Is the problem the pin walking out (spring leg walking out of the annular groove, or just the pin protruding a bit more to one side when locked in the receiver? If the later, try orientating the pin the other way (side annular groove on the other side of the receiver since it doesn't matter which legs sits in the groove to retain it). |
In a 223, I don't, You blow a primer that makes it's way under the FCG and don't have tools to clear it m (pull the KS), your screwed, blued and tattooed (read out of the hunt). With the standard FCG pins, I can pull the entire FCG with nothing more than a bullet. As for where the KNS pins shine, it's in blow back actions. The reason behind this is the blow back action will break hammer pins. With the KNS, you can still have a hammer pin snap, but since it's side reinforced to prevent twisting, the rifle will still run (pin will stay semi straight). |
