Ok, so I finally broke down and bought one, installed per instructions. Works sweet.
Question is, I am not fond of the fact the two little grub screws are the onlt thing that hold tension in the assembly and the trigger pins. They are soo small you cannot really get any torque on them, and the instructions specifically state to NOT use locktite. I am just not sure they will not loosten and the pins fall out. I did read after the fact they state "no oil" after I had put a drop of CLP on the sear area! Oh well, brake cleaner next I suppose? Thoughts from others experience appreciated. |

^ that
I have installed Timney's in my last 4 builds and have another on the bench going in this week. I have had absolutely no issues with them and have put copious rounds downrange. For the money and a good story on customer service, I am done shopping triggers for a while in my everyday shooters. |

It says something in the instructions about only using the " second" set of screws in a polymer frame gun? Thus, I have not installed them as a JAMB screw. Nor used the locktite.
Them little screws are soo small, I do not want to stick or strip one!
I suppose alternative would be to buy some of those pins with the straps on the outside for security, but to me it is just more crap to deal with. If the second set of screws is the trick, and using the locktite, I am ok with that, even if contrary to instructions. The Blue Goo has seldom failed me. Others thoughts?? |
