Can anyone advise which telestocks will work on a preban Colt 6700?  I have seen comments that the buffer tube is a different size on Colts, or the stocks are made for a different size tube.

You can install anyones stock on your weapon. The comment about stocks not fitting properly reflects buffer tube extentions. The industry has no standard and Colt tele stocks tend to run on one size where other manufacturers run their own. Nothing other than no common tube dimension.
