DON'T DO IT!

Les Baer have Young Mfg Gen 1 carrier, there is a Gen 2 now made by Young Mfg.

Take a look at some pics of the Gen 1 and Gen 2 in the link below.

If you want the best bolt assembly get the Colt.

I vote for the NF 2.5-10 scope.

Nice components you got there, be sure to post some pics when you are done.

I fail to understand why spending extra bucks on all these fancy carriers is ever necessary.

There are probably millions of A, B, C, D, & R brand carriers out there doing the job w/o a problem.

thanks guys, thats just why I asked help deciding. they are expensive  and I do want a good high quality carrier but if I can get a carrier thats AS good as the described carries for less thats what I want to do.
I was decided on the les Bear because I read good things about it, it's oversized and a more precision fit was my main selling point. from what I have read I beleaved that would help with accuracy.
i'm not all up to date on them so needing help.
thanks

Do the Les Baer's have a better finish?
If they have a better finish, will they stay cleaner and be easier to clean?

every build I have done except this one has been with parts from DPMS, RRA, White Oak just standerd stuff so thats all I have had and used untel this build.
a lot of stuff from you bigbore, only carriers I have used are rock river arms and white oak, I don't need the most expensive just one that will go well with this build.

Of the 2000 competitiors, you'll be able to count the shooters with fancy chrome carriers on 1 hand.

I disagree with this, but the reason I see the competitors with chromed bolts has nothing to do with accuracy.  It is all about making the easier to clean.

Ok I was ready to settle for just a plain LMT or simuler carrier but then
had to think about why I had decided to go with the LBC carrier again.
P.s. I have a matched bolt so all I need is carrier w/key LBC's price $180

The list,LBC NM Hard Chromed Carrier
from postings and articals I have read.
1.It's over sized. the main reason I chose it, don't know of any others that are except Young's.
2.it's hard chromed, retains oil better and is easer to clean. moves more smoothly in receiver.
3.works as good as all other carriers.
4.looks differn't than other carriers, I like to be differn't.
5.hard chrome plating will no wear as soon and last longer than others. (black carriers).

Things I don't like about the Les Baer carrier:
1.Price
2.don't beleave it's MPI tested

1-5 are the same things I would wan't in a cheaper carrier, so the question is.. what other
carriers offer the 1-5 at a more reasonable price?

Get the new Young Mfg GEN 2 carrier, it's better than his old GEN 1 which he sold to Les Baer.

I think MSTN have the GEN 2 Young Mfg carriers.

If you decide against chrome carriers, just go with a Colt M16 carrier.

We'll be waiting for your pics, good luck on your build.

Why get hardchrome when you can have hand polished stainless steel?  I have JP carriers in both my 3 Gun rifles and my 6.8.  Does everything you listed above and more...

My $.02's.

let you all know when I post completed pics.
thanks
