Hello,

If I have a Bushmaster bolt & carrier which are shot less than 1000 rounds. I'd like to put them in my new Bushmaster upper. Are there going to be any issues with head spacing? Thanks.

Petri

Bushy uppers are headspaced at the factory, and your bolt is only slightly used.  I seriously doubt you'll have any issues.

Somewhere on Bushmaster's website they mention that exchanging bolts between their uppers is no problem.

This of course depends on the wear of the bolt or the barrel.  If you are using a bolt from a shot out rifle and put it in a new rifle, then you are asking for problems.

i would buy a head space gauge and learn how to use it.
or just buy a new bolt.  not the complete bolt and carrier

With less than 1000 rounds on that bolt, it's barely broken in.  Go ahead and use it.

I wouldn't imagine there are a lot of 5.56mm headspace guages in Soumi land

Go for it.
