Any easy way to do this?

I have been trying to get the c clip off of the rod for like a half hour.  Would like to not have to order a new rod and clip if at all possible.  thanks

I just use some needle nose pliers. shouldnt be too hard.

Ive got an odd question, is the barrel still attached to the upper?

Yeah barrel attached to upper so I can't slide it out.  I tried needle nose pliers but I was trying to separate it, not grip it so maybe I will try to find a tiny pair and grab it.  This is an LMT 10.5 inch upper BTW although I doubt that is important (I know LMT front sight base pins are different).

Okay, got it off.  Sliding the pin out was a PITA.  Now I can't remember how the spring went in...
