Anyone know if the Streamlight "super tac" is just hand held or is it designed for weapon mounting as well?  Anyone have a chance to compare it to the TL-3?

The super tac is a very nice light.  I got to handle one recently.  It is both, hand held or weapons mounted.  I'd say its meant/designed for being weapons mounted.  

It will work in the same mounts that the TL-2 and TL-3's work in.  I have the thunder ranch urban rifle light system (a TL-3), and I liked the super tac better.  The beam looked sharper, not really brighter, but it looked sharper.  I don't know what the actual output numbers are but I would assume its less because its a 2 battery design over a 3.  

I am looking at replacing my TL-3 with one.  The one I saw had a pretty cool mount set up right on a metal fore grip.
