Could a 604 or 603 rifle have come with shiny furniture? I guess that would be a type C stock and matching handguards. I looked at the stickies, and all I have been able to find is the type D came out with 603/604 in 1964 but that doesn't say whether or not a type C stock could have come on a 603 or 604. Thanks. |

Since the XM16E1 and 604 came with many transitional parts I would suspect that the first of each could have had Type C stocks.
Even some Type D stocks came with Type C parked swivels. If you have a spare Type C stock I wouldn't hesitate to put it on an early 603 or 604 build. My early 604 has a Type C stock, so I may be biased. |
