The SA 5.56 battle packs I used to own had 300 rounds in them, 10 boxes of 30 rounds per battlepack.

My guess would be 7.62x39 as well. If there is 8 boxes in it. 10 boxes would be .223.

well i opened the battle pack...
lo and behold what do i find... 400 rounds of Hirtenberger L7A1 +P+ 9mm ammo 
I have absolutely no idea where this came from... I guess i picked it up as S.A. back during the day.... This stuff runs like a raped ape in my F gun.

the battle pack is the same color of SA packs... yea i guess you guys can hammer me on this one 
but 400 rounds of L7A1 is a pretty good suprise

I'm excited, I'm about to leave and buy some ammo off a guy from Craigslist:
"four 200rd sealed plastic sleeves of .308 ammo for $60 each."
Who says "plastic sleeves"? He says he thought they were SA but obviously hasn't been following whats going on with ammo lately. I'll also pick up the 500 rds of 762x39 for $100 if he has it, that'll be good bartering ammo. |
