Im a bit confused. Whats the difference between a M4 upper and a Carbine upper?

Thanks for the info guys.

So whats your recommendation? LMT M4 upper or other brand?
The upper will be going onto a Lauer lower.

The M-4 is a Colt design improved carbine system. In regards to non-Colt copy barrels, the differences could also include chrome lining, and a tighter sidewall dimension chamber as well.






there are both options when you go with other brands. with or without extended feed ramps and there are also car profile bbl.s with the "extended feedramps".

both could be had with chrome lining or different chambers.
