Has anyone seen this problem in Model 1 Sales parts kits?

I have two parts kits and in both of them the selector detent is too large to fit in the hole of the receiver.  This is true for a BM receiver and two RRA receivers.

Any suggestions?

The easiest and cheapest way to fix it is to chuck the detent up in a drill and spin it in some wet or dry paper.

Start with 220 to cut it, polish with 400 or 600.

You will probably have to turn the detent over to get both ends.

The hole in the receiver is a stepped hole, and the detent has 2 different diameters,  like a rimmed cartridge case.  It may be only one if the diameters on the detent is oversized, check with a drill rod to see.

edit: You can also spin it against a sharp file.  Easier to keep angles correct.

Thanks for the replies.  I ended up putting the detents in a drill and spinning them in some really fine sand paper.  It took a few mintues but finally was able to fit.

Thanks for the help,
