I just assembled this lower, and the selector does not point fully to the 12 o'clock position.  It functions fine, but the fact that it doesn't look right is troubling.  Did I do something wrong?  This is the second lower I've assembled, and the first is just fine.  LPK is RRA.  Sorry for the blurry pic.  Had to use daughter's Hello Kitty cam.

Scenario 1 = Selector hole where the detent pin and spring sits is FUBAR.

Scenario 2 = detent pin or spring is caught or mangled

Selector detent is in correctly.  Selector functions just fine.  Should I be concerned about issues down the road?

I would take the selector out of the properly working rifle and see if it works with the spring and detent from the non working rifle.  You may just have gotten a selector that was improperly made, and the detent channel and hole aren't correctly lined up.  It the other selector works fine, just buy a new selector and throw the old one out.

Well, I removed the suspect selector, detent and spring, and replaced them with known good parts from 2 other ARs.  The results were the same - the selector is still pooched.  All parts checked fine in the other two receivers.  I placed a dowel into the detent channel on the two good ARs, and after doing the same to what is now the suspect receiver, I believe the detent channel is slightly off center of the selector holes.  That would explain the selector pointing to 11 o'clock.  Also, the selector (all 3) will swing back to the 3 o'clock burst/auto position (if so equipped).  Look like it's back to the factory.  Thanks for all the tips!
