Does anyone have an opinion on Leatherwood scopes?

junk...  Their "camputer" is innovative, but their glass is complete chicom garbage.

I'm looking for a scope with a 50 objective around the 300 dollar range. Now that I'm not getting a leatherwood, what's a good one?

I have not used an ART since like '84... but the optics seemed to be good, the cam system did nothing for me -- it did not work well in mud, OTB or cold WX, I got mine changed out and never looked at them since.

Here are some excellent choices IMHO:

Bushnell 3200 (many 3200 models in your price range)

Or of course...

Burris

If you have to have a 50mm objective these will do the trick under your price range.

I prefer the sightron S2 or Leupold VXII to these scopes, but they don't come in 50mm objectives.

+1 for the Burris. The Fullfield II kicks but! And the ballistic plex reticle works good.
