Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - S&W M&P upper handguards M4 compatible?

I have finally recieved my S&W M&P 15OR upper (16 inch barrel) . I believe that the handguard is of an M4 type but I would like someone more knowledgeable than me to confirm this if possible. I want to replace the black handguard with an OD green unit but I want to make sure that the M4 OD green handguard I am planning to buy is the correct item.

Yes it's a carbine length (m4) handguard.
