| For my current project I'm thinking about using a Samson MRFS-C AR-15 modular rail forend system for a carbine. The one piece FF model. What tools do I "HAVE TO" have? This is my first free float project and I'm not sure what I need. Does anyone have any experience with them? |

Samson FF handguard are not one piece, they're two piece and the upper piece consist of the top and side rails which attach to the barrel nut with machine screws. Samson usually comes with the proper allen wrench that's required for installation. You would need a Dremel or sheet metal shear to cut the delta ring and remove it and it's assembly, the barrel nut don't have to be removed. I don't have the Samson carbine model but I have both the mid length and rifle forend models they're all installed the same. Go to this thread (about down the middle of the page) and look for the TROY MRF-C forend installation instruction they're the same as the Samson installation.
