I have a post ban bbl with y comp attached that I would like to have removed and a suppresser added. Once I remove the comp BBL length would be 14.5 inches. Would I have to register my rifle as an SBR or would the suppressor bring its overall length back? I know if I was going to put an Izzy flash hider on I would have to permanently attach it. How about the suppressor would it have to be permanently attached? I guess my question is would I have to pay 2 tax stamps?

You would either have to register your lower as an SBR or mount something like an extended bi-lock flash-hider from GemTech (for use with the M4-96D).

I don't think you would want to permanently mount your suppressor for various reasons.
